Basically to sum it up the serial is about a bunch of sassy spiders who want to take over earth using a blue crystal that the doctor has. Don’t get me wrong it was probably one of my favorite serials of the third doctor, i just find the spiders HILARIOUS. XD
But on a more depressing note the 3rd doctor is gone. BUT now I get to see the famous Tom Baker, can’t wait to get started.
I saw this episode the first time when I was 7 or 8. I already had a growing fear of spiders, and this just threw it into phobias. Funniest thing was, it wasn’t over big tarantula spiders like in the serial, but the little ones you couldn’t see unless it was right in front of your face.
This was also the first episode that I saw the Doctor Regenerate. Before this I thought it was entirely different Timelords taking on the name of the Doctor. Being young I hadn’t grasped the regeneration fact that my mom was telling me about until I actually saw it. Good times, good times.
